Baking is my passion! I learned from my Mom at a young age. One of my earliest baking memories is of mixing up chocolate chip cookies, creaming the butter and sugar together with a fork (a fork!). I was the kid who checked out cookbooks from the school library and who spent hours poring over Mom’s cake decorating books. My love of baking grew over the years, with the fantasy of someday owning a bakery.
Fast forward to the fall of 2018, when fantasy became reality—my youngest started kindergarten, and as a stay-at-home mom, I now had plenty of free time on my hands. After some encouragement from a friend, I looked into what it would take to bake out of my home, and voila! The Prairie Patisserie was born. I love having the opportunity to make any occasion a little extra special, whether it’s a birthday, bridal or baby shower, graduation, a thank you…I strive to provide you with high-quality, artfully decorated treats.
My husband, two sons, and I live on a farm outside of Winthrop, MN. When I’m not in the kitchen, I enjoy reading, finding unusual or historical places to visit with my boys, tending to our large garden, and cuddling with our dog, Bill (usually while watching The Golden Girls, maybe also cross-stitching).
